The organizing committee of ISPES 2027 invites proposals for Special Sessions at the conference in Bengaluru, India. Sessions based on the conference’s proposed tracks are invited. We urge potential session organizers to read the submission guidelines outlined below carefully. This will help you understand the requirements and expectations for your proposals before submitting them through the link at the bottom.

Proposal Submission

Each session proposal should include an abstract together with a background and justification paragraph, where the session organisers elaborate on

  • The motivation behind the special session,
  • The quality and potential impact of the committed papers in the proposed session
  • The technical committee is most closely allied with the proposal

Each proposal should also include a title, a list of authors, and short abstracts of the committed papers. The complete proposal should be limited to no more than three pages. A special session is expected to address topics that may not naturally arise out of the regular submissions to the conference through the technical committees. The justification for the proposal should explain why a special session is needed to address the proposed topic. No individual can appear as an author or co-author on multiple papers in a special session. An exemption can be made when the first paper is an overview paper (preferably by the organisers). In this case, the co-authors of the first paper can be co-authors of one additional paper in the same session.

Proposal Selection

Special session proposals will be evaluated based on

  • The proposed topic.
  • The expected impact and quality of the contributed papers.
  • The background and diversity of the session organiser (s) and contributing authors.

Selection of a special session proposal does not guarantee final acceptance of the special session. Papers submitted to special sessions will undergo a rigorous review identical to that for regular submissions, and thus, the final disposition of the session will depend on the outcome of the paper reviews. If a paper nominated for a selected special session is not accepted, it is possible that another paper from among the regular submissions could be substituted in its place. In all cases, every effort will be made for the special session to be scheduled as a lecture session.
